Once again we delve into te relevatively unknown, but soon to be emersed world of BE YOUR OWN PET. Four 16 years from California have caused a substantial amount of interest upon these shores and they have the evidence to prove why. After first single DAMN DAMN LEASH, a fiery three minutes torrent of breaking self restraint, comes FIRE DEPARTMENT. Oh how the vocal chords of lead singer Jemina have that sweet little girl sucking on a lollipop image, yet underneath lurks the hearts and (certainly lungs) of a new Brody Dalle! The song seems to have the theme of safety pins, this i don't quite know why (I've listened to it a few times, and still can't quite make up my mind): Safety Pins: Fire Department. Unless I'm being really thick (and that is a possiblility) I can't find the connection! Or maybe that's the whole point there is no connection. Maybe that's the way the song was meant to be! I don't know! Any-hoo it's another three minute, ear pounding from BYOP! Go buy it and see for yourself
