Here come the second chapter of the gripping novel known as Paramore. Four pumped up hell raisers from across the pond who have landed on our shores with another priceless piece of work, which captivates and embraces us all! Riot! lives and breathes Paramore. The Punk rock-ethnic that embedded it's self into our lives and actions. Though a sinister trap lurks beneath the surface of the band's mission statement. Emo is out! Emo is nothing! Don't call Paramore an Emo band, because it'll be the last thing you ever do!
The stark reality is that with the second helping from Paramore, we see the rules in which they live by! Guidelines if you will which lay down the foundation on which their mission statement thrives. Discard all that you know about Emo! First and foremost! Paramore are not Emo! Got that! Paramore go beyond the conventional! They burst through the mainline, looking forward to spreading their wings into the heavens and beyond, displaying their musical muscle and allowing us to gorge ourselves on the harvest which they bring!
The album bursts to life with For A Pessimist, I'm pretty Optimistic a track that bubbles and crackles with the adrenalin of the Paramore youth! Heavy guitar riffs and resolute bass chords pound away like a rabid monsters releasing it's pent up anger and frustration! That's What You Get follows on with a dancer edgy to proceedings. Killer lyrics add to the occassion That's what you get when you let your heart win/Whoa ooh ooh!
Only two tracks into the album and already your completely absorbed by it all. Hallujah! Only adds to the hype created here. A slightly quirker jet of power, a higher projection of light from Hayley Williams, aiming forever skywards! Here without a shadow of a doubt is my favourite track of the album Misery Business predominately because of the intro. These few seconds alone had my full attention and it never wavered once! It's one of those tunes which, a day or so later, you find yourself humming too! When It Rains is, without question, Paramore's heart felt power ballad. Full of sentimentality! A really gem of a track!
Let The Flames Begin brings the element of hyperbole into the equation. A together of punk-rock kids moshing their little socks off! Miracle adds more gloss to the punk rock Paramore pie! Eat healthy from this nutrition dish! It's yummy! CrushCrushCrush is an avril lavagne-esqe rocker, though darker, deeper and less repentant! We Are Broken is, like When It Rains, bring the mood down, the Paramore faithful, hold their lighters high a sea of light moving softly throught the air.
Fences feels like a toe-tapping, feet-stomping gem, one that will lift your soul and your dancing shoes to another level! Lol! The finale is left to a bigger bang. Born For This rocks, rocks and rocks. A big anthem, which will have everybody singing along to!
An album to grace any music lover, a band who would grace any music venue. Live they are awesome! Simply mind blowing! Live, breath and eat Paramore. They have an amazing future in front of them. Go an buy the album then go to one of their shows! THEY ROCK!
