The Fratellis - Costello Music

If an band had a trophy cabinet, or maybe an awards cabinet, then you would like that there are either a very successful outfit or great things are expected of them. Whether the awards are for best band or best single or best track, the band have been recognized and rewarded for the work that they've undertake and shown to the masses.

The Fratellis are one such band who have, undoubtedly, in their possession an awards cabinet, which is currently preparing for the on-rush of awards, being grated it's first wish with an award at this years Brits. The band won Best British Break Throughout Act and as we all know it was down to this album and numerous gigs that gave them the edge! A with the NME awards just over two weeks away (March 1st) the band are eyeing up more prestigious gongs.

AS before the album Costello Music, has played no small part in the meteoric rise of The Fratellis. With such colossal singles as Chelsea Dagger and radio* friendly Whistle For The Choir - a great expectation has fallen onto their shoulders and with it comes a slice of good fortune. One award already in the bag and surely a few more on the way!

Nearly every song on the album, seems to be a fratellis party, which is an open affair to lure all and sundry in to it's lair with the charm and grace and unforgettable tunes. A least a dozen or so tracks have unique ditties which live long in the memory and have you humming along in no time at all! The aforementioned massive singles, along with For The Girl and Baby Fratelli these ones will have you humming from now to kingdom come.

Henrietta, Creeping Up The Backstairs, Vince The Loveable Stoner and Everybody Knows You Cried Last Night have that party vibe which leaves you reaching for favorite poison and huddle in a corner with a group of mates discussion who will give Jade Goody a good slapping ;-D These treasure can only lift the spirit, mentality, physical and spiritually. Which is pretty damn good as I'm sure is a fair assumption

As for the future, the immediate future, it looks as good as ever. The Fratellis are one of those band which you will always have a interest in and will pick up the holy bible to read the latest feature on them. Buy a ticket to one of their gigs and get wasted with mates debating the best way to unscrew Russell Brand's mentality and turn it into something which resembles a man who doesn't annoy the hell out of you by having a hair-style that looks like a permanently petrified peacock! Or the fact that he has wears the most ludicrous eyeliner. Why?! He is a freak! He is weird!  Roll on the NME awards, The Fratellis are waiting to pick an gong or two! Please oh lord don't get Brand to host the ceremony! PLEASE!!!
